HEC Prime Minister’s Electric Wheelchair Scheme for University Students Phase – III

Under Prime Minister Electric Wheelchair Scheme for University Students (Phase – III) Higher Education Commission HEC invites applications from University Students having an ambulatory disability and are enrolled/being enrolled with Public Sector Universities and affiliated Colleges for undergraduate / Master’s / Ph.D. programs during fall Semester 2022-2023.

Prime Minister HEC Electric Wheelchairs Scheme for Session 2022-2023

Eligibility Criteria

Electric Wheelchairs will be distributed among students who meet the following criteria.

• Have physical and permanent ambulatory disabilities to such a degree that they are unable to move from one place to another place without the aid of a wheelchair.
• They are not able to cross curbs because of paralysis or loss of function of the legs.
• Have missed one or two legs.
• Are registered/being registered for the academic session fall 2022-2023 in HEC recognized Public Sector universities and affiliated Colleges of all Province, AJ & K and GB in Undergraduate / Postgraduate, MS, MPhil, and Ph.D. programs.
• Have a valid certificate of special person/ambulatory disability from the relevant competent authority / Government Institutions.
• Have not applied and received Electric wheelchairs during previous phases.

How to Apply

• Students who meet the above criteria are advised to fill out and submit the application form online available at eportal.hec.gov.pk/wheelchairs.
• Take the print of the filled application form, attached all relevant documents, and submit it to the office of the Vice Chancellor / Registrar / designated person.
• Universities / Colleges will forward all cases to HEC in one transaction by December 31, 2022.
• The last date to fill out the application form is 30 November 2022.
